Interviews with Angus

Me and my new rucksack

June 2007

Hello everyone, John and I just got back from Machu Picchu. I don't want say too much about it just now because we are giving a special talk to the whole school on 22nd June and I don't want to give away the best bits. Of course we made it back safe and sound, but there were a few problems along the way that we had to overcome. We met some great people and saw lots of great animals and nice places. You can look at the photo slideshow by clicking on the logo at the top right hand side. See you all on the 22nd. Luvya! Angus xx

January 2007

Thank you Heather for this beautiful drawing of Angus and me.
Happy New Year to everybody in Falkirk, Ayrshire, Edinburgh, London and Wiltshire who have helped me with planning or fund-raising for my trek in May. Just over 4 months to go and I am very excited, and a little worried, about the trip. I've been training hard in 2006 so decided to have a nice break over the holiday period and went to John's house in Wiltshire for Xmas and New Year.

Merry Christmas

Xmas was very nice and Santa was good to me. I received new jeans to trek in. I'm glad because I was worried that it would be too windy for my kilt on the mountain-side. I also received my new jacket and I am having a rucksack made for me to keep my kit in. I had way too much turkey and christmas pud and put on at least three pounds, which is a lot when you're my height. Here is a picture of me pulling my christmas cracker.

It's a cracker!!

I went out walking over Salisbury plain this week with John and his dog, Domino. It wasn't as difficult as climbing Ben Nevis but we did get to visit Stonehenge. You're not allowed to get very close because the stones are very old and they don't want the stones to fall over, or something. Anyway, I'm sending some leaflets up to class 4EB so that they can read all about it.

Back to school next week. I can't wait :-)

September 2006
Hello again. Summer holidays are finished already but it's good to be back at Wallacestone Primary. I'm settling in well this term and have a lovely new class of friends to go on adventures with. I have already been to the Edinburgh Tattoo with Robyn and I have toured York with Megan. There are some lovely photographs of us in York Minster. I am going to add a new page to display my holiday snaps. Look out for it on this site soon. My traveling calendar is filling up fast so have lots of adventures to look forward to.

Angus of Arabia. The great adventurer

One big change this year is that the class is called 4EB instead of 4B. That's because the other Primary 4 teacher's surname also starts with B and and they have to be able to tell the classes apart. So instead of 4 Best we are now 4 Extra Best!

April 2006
Hi, I'm Angus and I would like to tell you about my school and about the adventures they have sent me on to Egypt, Europe and South America.
I have attended Wallacestone Primary School for almost 5 years. It's a great school as I think you'll agree.
I love to be invited to go with the children on holidays and adventures. So far, I have been all over Scotland, England Wales, Spain, France, Tenerife and Peru. Yes this will be my second visit to Peru. Last time I helped build houses for street children and also visited schools. That was in 2005 so I am really looking forward to seeing my old chums again.

This is me in Peru

Last year I went to Egypt with Erin to do research on our topic which was the Ancient Egyptians. It was very nice but the sand got in my sporran and they didnae have any haggis.

I usually send postcards to the rest of the class when I am away. Hopefully this time, I can send reports to this web site from the trek itself, so you can chart my progress as I go. I'll bring back Photographs to show the school too.
Bye for now, Angus xx
